The Goalie Shortage of the NVSHL



With the recent launch of the Northern Virginia Street Hockey League, players are excited to kick off a great season of intense street hockey. There are somewhere around 12 players currently signed to a team, and 6 to 8 more looking to join the new expansion team that was announced this week. Despite this large amount of players, the NVSHL seems to be missing one key component of the game, the goaltender.

A Trade on the Horizon?

Rumors have been swirling around the league this week discussing a trade that would send Matthew Jaquette to the Quakers for Jake Digby.  Multiple sources reported to the Dartmoor Times seem to confirm these rumors with goalie Christopher Vinh saying that "The NVSHL is a business. Players get traded and we have to deal with it."

Sir Neary denied such reports, quoted saying that "Digby is still a Quaker. Don't trust what you're hearing." 

 

Clark Thomas: A Bad Teammate?

Reports are being made that Clark Thomas, a wing for the Quakers, got in a verbal altercation with Luke McAndrew, after McAndrew accused him of stealing his water bottle."I'll fu*king destroy that pu*ssy as* bi*ch," a noticeably livid Thomas said prior to Tuesday's practice. McAndrew has said he is disappointed by Thomas's comments quoted as saying that: "Clark used to be a great guy. I guess I don't like him anymore...
